Oprah Winfrey’s last show, scheduled for May 25th, will score $1 million for each 30-second TV ad. Which means the Black Eyed Peas better be making an appearance and Aaron Rodgers better be scoring some touchdowns.
While the prices for commercials are high for any hit TV show finale, media analyst Brad Adgate says this is a record for a daytime, non-sports broadcast.
CBS spokesperson Leslie Ryan says, “The final episode of Oprah--in fact the final weeks of Oprah--will be a TV event,” but she declined to comment on the $1 million ads for the show.
At any rate, THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY, PEOPAAAAAAL!
