The goddess of daytime television is stepping out in the sunshine today.
Oprah Winfrey has taken to Instagram to share her day at the farm with her fans and followers. The images play out like a story book, as she harvests veggies and chases a healthier lifestyle with fitness guru Bob Greene.
A shot posted on the television personality’s Instagram show her and Greene revealing their bounty.
“O happy harvest day. My favorite day of the week. Bob Greene and me trucking our veggie loot,” the caption on the photo reads.
The smiling duo looks over their crop… Bushels and bushels of vegetables sit in a wagon… Tomatoes, corn, basil, potatoes, lettuce and squash fill the screen.
Later on, she posted a picture of a deep basket of tomatoes… One of the perks of living near Oprah? Free food! (That and higher property values!)
“Isn't that a pretty site? All from my garden,” she wrote. “Too much for me, gonna share with my neighbors!”
It’s all in what appears to be an effort to comply with Greene’s Best Life Diet. The life change is broken into three phases: Eliminating problem foods, keeping calories in check, and losing weight.
According to Oprah’s site, Green is “an exercise physiologist” who specializes in fitness and metabolism. Prior to ending “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Greene was a frequent guest and expert on the weight loss category.
In addition to getting her eating habits back on track, Oprah will help fill in for Robin Roberts while she is away from her co-anchor position on “Good Morning America.” Roberts has taken a medical leave for a bone marrow transplant procedure in order to address a recent diagnosis of MDS.
