While PETA may have a long list of people on their blacklist, they also have a list of people they feel should get recognition for their good doing.

PETA President Ingrid E. Newkirk just announced that talk show queen Oprah has been named their Person of the Year after using her TV show to highlight cases of animal cruelty and promote vegan diets.

Newkirk insists Winfrey has utilised her "powerful voice to defend those without one."

Oprah will be presented with a plaque and a letter of appreciation in recognition of her support. Oprah is truly a role model in so many aspects so we're glad she's getting recognition for her good doing.
