Kirstie Alley lost a lot of weight while on the Jenny Craig program but gained it all back because of lack of urgency.
In an interview for the
Oprah Winfrey Show, Alley opens up about her recent weight gain and her current motivation to get back into shape.
"We look around. We see what we want," says Alley. "Don't you look around and see what you want to look like I'm, like, look, Michelle Obama's guns. I could have those arms," she adds. " I don't know about the legs."
"You've got to work for that," Oprah responded. "I know," Alley said. "I'm saying, I think I'm ready to work."
Alley also admitted that it was silly for her to quit Jenny Craig and attempt to create her own weight loss program, especially during a time of economic crisis.
"In a way it's sort of … crazy. We're in the middle of a recession, and I decide, yes, I'm going to create my own business … I'm going to lose 80 pounds … "I'm going to be in a bikini again."
We have a feeling she is now gonna develop her own weight loss program and lose a lot of weight, which is gonna persuade others to buy into her program. That would be a great way to approach the new business!
