Gymnast Gabrielle Douglas made history on Thursday when she took home the gold making this a huge win for USA but what made her win so significant was that the 16-year-old is now the first African-American woman to win gold in the women’s gymnastics all-around competition.

Twitter nearly collapsed from the outpouring of love from friends, fans, and celebs!

I’ve never seen so many famous people cheer on an Olympian like they have for Gabrielle, not even Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte get this kind of love!
