PETA Won't Leave Olsen Twins Alone

PETA is obsessed with trashing Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, whom they refer to as the Trollsen Twins, who are celebrating their birthdays this Friday.

PETA is encouraging animal lovers to send clumps of hair to the twins as a birthday gift. They've posted this on their website:

The twins are still sporting as much fur as ever. Since they seem to be in such dire need of extra hair on their bodies, let's give them some of ours—and send a strong message while we're at it….Save that hair in a bag and mail it to the twins with a note that says, "Please, use my hair instead of the animals'. Happy Birthday." Do you think PETA has gone too far?

Holy Cow! PETA has gone too far with this one. It's pretty obvious that Mary Kate and Ashley don't care about the animals---the "twins" are just trying to keep their emaciated bodies warm! (Insert whiney holler here) "Leave them alone!"

This is so funny and also brings attention to the plight of animals who are skinned alive for their fur. I applaud peta for putting pressure on these trashy twins. hopefully the trollsen twins will join the 21st century and stop wearing dead animals.

Why idolize the Olsen twins? They were in a TV show - so what? OJ Simpson was a football star... They are skanky losers. They have little self-respect, no sense of right and wrong, and terrible fashion sense. They are vain, self-indulgent little creeps. They need help and they need it fast. PETA speaks for those who cannot defend themselves. They're all about compassion and kindness. What hurts more - exposing the Olsen twins disgusting lifestyle, or being skinned alive for your fur?

Regardless of how one feels about these TV idols, their actions are in the public eye. It is well that someone is pointing out the error of their ways. For those who hate PETA that is no reason to disclaim what they say about wearing fur. If an alcoholic tells you that gambling is bad for you just being an alcoholic does not make them wrong. Consider the issue not the one making the statement. The topic is killing living things for profit and then flaunting their bodies in public, not is PETA a good organization. I thank them for bringing this horror to light. For those of you who see no problem in what they do I ask you this: will you be offering up your pets to the taxidermist when they die? Are only some animals precious and others not? Will you wear fido around your shoulders to the next social event? Gandhi said "You can tell about the people of a country by the way they treat their animals.?" Some of you may scoff at that. Benjamin Franklin was a vegetarian. Many of Gandhi's ideals were embodied in that Founding Father of the United States of America. Please support those who fight against cruelty.

I agree with PETA's ideas, but I don't like the idea of sending them hair, I think it's disgusting. They obviously aren't going to change their minds, so don't even bother.
