Despite links to everyone from Bradley Cooper to Justin Timberlake, Olivia Wilde insists she's single. She adds that she thinks it's funny people keep trying to put her in a relationship.
"It’s hilarious,” says Olivia.
Yeah, it's not so much hilarious as it is just hopeless. Because if Olivia Wilde can't find a man, what hope do the rest of the single women in the country have? We've got to hook this woman up.
“I wouldn’t have the energy to date all those different people. I am a real girl’s girl but I have a lot of male friends. Now I’m single that’s getting me a lot of attention."
I believe that a man can have a plutonic relationship with a woman and not feel anything for her at all. But when that woman is Olivia Wilde, it's not going to happen. I'm a straight woman, and I'm not even sure if I could have a plutonic friendship with her.
Olivia adds that she really has no dating life because she's always working. "Maybe when it calms down I’ll have a dating life."
Lucky for her, she's in an industry where dating and working go hand in hand. Wilde's recent divorce has left her a "little wobbly", the star admits. "The trauma of the divorce has been humbling. I’m a case of arrested development, in a way — from spending your 20s with someone who really loves to take care of you, as my husband did,” she said.
Olivia was married to an Italian prince. Whoever has to follow that up is screwed. Justin Timberlake might be Hollywood's biggest ladies' man, but he's no Italian prince.
“I think it’s very healthy to spend time alone," Wilde said. "You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.”
