No one really knew what to make of Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde's recent engagement, truthfully. The lovebirds are cute and funny and tolerable and I wouldn't be offended if I was seated next to them at the dinner party of a mutual friend we do not have. But at the same time, I wouldn't exactly throw a fit if I had to sit next to literally anyone else because I know I wouldn't really be missing anything either. Strangely, this is also kind of how I feel about SNL or an Olivia Wilde movie.
Then Jason gave this quote about their relationship to possibly end all other Hollywood relationships. It's so great, unfiltered, and comical we might never want to hear what two other celebs in love have to say to about one other if Jason and Olivia can keep this banter up.
In a recent GQ interview, Jason wanted to clarify a quote his fiancé Olivia made last year about their sex life. Because he's a man who wants to protect the dignity of his wife-to-be's name, he took it upon himself to correct her when she said they merely "have sex like Kenyan marathon runners." No, that doesn't even begin to explain their passion for each other. What Jason insists Olivia really meant to go with was the more poetic "f*ck."
"To be honest, she was misquoted," Jason said when asked about her statement. "If there's any legitimacy in entertainment journalism, I'd be remiss if I didn't correct it: The actual quote was 'We f*ck like Kenyan marathon runners."
“Things get lost in the translation. But everything after, from the word sex on, is accurate. When we're both done, we tear through a little piece of tape. And you gotta put Band-Aids on your nipples, otherwise you're really raw…Yep, and we have a guy who gives us little cups of water."
When Amy Poehler and Will Arnett called it quits on their golden marriage by which we all once aspired, our reality was shaken to its core. Some of us were so distraught by that breakup we only started breathing yesterday. Don't want to jinx it, but it sounds like Jason and Olivia are giving us a fresh breath of hope if they stay on this track of being the most perfect couple ever.
