Nikki Blonsky Talks About Arrest

Nikki Blonsky is speaking up for the first time about her arrest while vacationing with her family in Turks and Caicos. In an interview with ET, Nikki says her family is just trying to cope with the situation as best as they can. She says, "We are a tight-knit family. We're just happy to be back together. My family is my life. The best gift that I've been given is my parents."

When asked about the media invading her family's privacy to try and get more information, Nikki said, "You want to protect them the best way you know how."

Besides getting support from her family, Nikki's friends and co-stars have been a shoulder to cry on through the whole thing. She says, "They have all been extremely supportive," she says, adding that co-star Zac Efron has played a special role in helping her cope with what happened.

"I love him with every inch of my body and soul. He has been an amazing support system."
