Nicole Richie Having a Boy?

You gotta love Hollywood! Nicole Richie hasn't even officially confirmed her pregnancy yet, and Star magazine is already claiming to know the sex of the child.

The magazine claims that Nicole and Joel were spotted buying thousands of dollars worth of "boy stuff" at trendy baby store Bel Bambini. Funny thing is there are no pictures of Nicole or Joel going into the store. You know the paps follow their ass like it's going out of style.

A source said, “I asked them if they were shopping for a friend and they said, no. It was obvious they were buying for themselves. When they got to the register, Nicole whispered to Joel, ‘Wait till my dad finds out.’ She was giddy the entire time, and you could tell she was excited to be there.”

Isn't she supposedly only 12 weeks along, when do you usually find out the sex of a baby?

well now days all it takes is a simple dna test u can do from ur own home and it only cost 300 dollars and u only have to be 8 weeks so of course they would be able to tell they have alot of money so if we could order it off the net then the can too!!!!!!!

Krystalyn: I had an ultrasound at 14 weeks. They said it was a boy. Had another due to an emergency at 18 weeks still a boy. You can find out that early but they warn you not to take it as 100% until you have more than one ultrasound. They can know around 12 weeks like zahbaby said if you get an amnio.

ok... you cant find out the sex of a baby that early because at that time it wouldnt have formed genitals yet. at 3 mos the baby would have a bump indistinguishable from a vagina or penis, so no matter what amount of $ u have you cant know. at 14 weeks, like someone said they found at, the best you can get is a guesstimate and i had an ultrasound at 11 week, one less tht nicole is at and it looked like a blob. theres no scientififc way they could know

it was only a few months since i gave birth, at the 12 week scan their is no way u can tell the sex, doent even look like a proper baby, i found out i was avin at boy at the 20week scan. i dunno if nicole wud b a gud mam, shes so immature and thick as pig shit. but hu knows maybe shel suprise us all when its born

You can find out at 12 weeks, they say 20 because usually you're insurance only covers 2 ultrasounds and the 20 week check is mandatory, so if you have money you can find out much sooner.

You CAN find out the sex of the baby by doing a amniocentisis ( taking dna nd fluids from the baby's amniotic sac)as early as 12 weeks, alhough it is not very safe.

I agree with "Miss Thang"...I honestly think this is a publicity stunt, she is due to follow her off and on again BFF, Paris Hilton and Lohan for their Celeb-u-tard, "DUI/Driving under the influence" charges for driving backwards on the freeway a several months back. If she is preggers...please Lord let the child be o.k...you cannot tell me she was not on crank/blow before this "mysterious" lump started appearing....Hmmm....it all sound supspect either way!

That story is such a lie. Why would she wisper to Joel about her Dad right in front of the cashier. It is so totally BS. The media is so obsessed with Nicole and Christina being pregnant. Who cares? If they are they will be showing soon and if they aren't they won't. So why do we keep getting these stories with all these "confermations" that are never the celebs daying it themselves. Jesus.

You can have an ultrasound at 12 weeks. Usually they give them bwtn 12 wks and 22 wks to determine the sex. But with the new ultrasound machines they have out now, I am sure they can see the sex of the baby and she could be further along than 12 weeks that she thinks because pregnancy actually begins the first day of your last period.

I found out and I was only 14 weeks...so being as though they have a TON of more cash than I do...anything is possible!

The only way they can tell is if they see a penis. They have to be able to get a good ultrasound to see that angle. I suppose it's possible, but I agree, 20 weeks is the usual time they begin looking for the sex because it's more visible then. I'm sure that's just a guess!

You usually find out at 20 weeks. There is no way they would know at 12.
