Nicole Richie Grieves Over Friends Death

Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton were spotted at the cemetery the other day visiting a friend’s grave. Today we found out through Nicole’s myspace blog that it’s the 1 year anniversary of the death of a dear friend. The blog reads:

Today Is the one year anniversary of the death of a dear friend of mine. Brent Shapiro was a saint. I often thought he was too perfect to even be on this earth. I have faith that he is in a better place. But I ask of all of you to stop, take a look at your life, and value how truly lucky you all are. Tell someone you love them, even if you think they already know. Life is short. Take it in. Peace and Love xx

Brent was the 25 year old son of renowned defense attorney Robert Shapiro(OJ’S Lawyer) who died from a drug overdose. Robert Shapiro has created the Brent Shapiro Foundation for drug awareness. The foundation recently held the Sober Day USA: A Day of Awareness in Los Angeles. The event was conducted without one drop of alcohol present in order to bring awareness to the cause.
