Nicole Richie Fires Rachel Zoe

Simple Life star Nicole Richie is cleaning out her closet and her life . According to Us magazine, Nicole has axed her personal stylist (and close confidante) of more than two years, Rachel Zoe. Sources say the 25 year old size-0 starlet “wanted to surround herself with positive people and influences.” There's been rumors for over a year now that Zoe promotes unhealthy body images, and provides 'substances' to help foster it. Use your imagination on that one.

This is the second time a Hollywood star has dropped Rachel, Jessica Simpson axed her last year...hence, the reason she dresses the way she does now. Other clients of the stick thin stylist include Mischa Barton and Lindsay Lohan.

Sources reveal, “Nicole didn’t trust Rachel anymore,” Zoe’s rep denies this, adding that the split was amicable.

Nicole has replaced Zoe with Cristina Ehrlich (who has dressed Jessica Biel and Penelope Cruz) to pick an outfit for tonight’s American Music Awards, where the actress has been asked to introduce a performance by dad Lionel Richie.
