How serious is new couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden? According to the New York Post these two lovebirds are falling hard for each other and moving fast.

Madden, who was rumored to have dumped pop star Hilary Duff because she wouldn't sleep with him, was listed on Richie's booking papers after her arrest this week as her "emergency contact person."

If you all have been living in a cave, Nicole was arrested Monday in the wee hours for driving on the wrong side of the freeway and was busted for DUI.
