Nicole Richie knows how the media works, that’s why she has warned/ordered her future fiancé to not take any pictures with other women because that’s exactly how rumors start.

On Wednesday night, Madden was at a party to celebrate the first anniversary of the Village Pourhouse and a promoter asked to take a picture of Madden with a young lady. Joel kindfully declined and was overheard saying he can not do so for rumor purposes.

Bravo Nicole you’ve got your man on a tight leash.

"He was overhead saying..." I love how things things never come from a reputable source. There's always, "A friend of a friend of a friend" who heard that someone heard him say that....blah blah blah. First of all, Nicole's GOT him. And she's not an idiot: I'm quite sure that she understands the biz that he's in, and how pictures with pretty ladies are part of it. You mean to tell me no guys ever want their photo taken with her?Give the woman some credit, would you? She's having his baby, and they're most likely going to get married. He's not going to f- that up. Second, if this DID happen, perhaps Joel knows the difference between a "fan" and some skanky starf-er who is trying to muddy the waters, so to speak. I'm sure he's learned the difference by now. He wouldn't f- his fans over like that; they mean the world to him. Seriously: you can't do any better than THAT lame-ass bit of he said/she said?? *gag*

Completely not true. I'm a good charlotte fan and i was at the show in Boston. Joel took pictures with me. He was with Nicole ans she even offered to take the picture. STOP SPREADING FALSE RUMOURS!!!!!
