We have to admit, when we first heard Nicole Richie and Joel Madden were dating we weren’t too keen. But after watching Diane Sawyer’s interview with the couple, they definitely grew on us. In the latest reports we learn how Joel has domesticated Nicole and turned her life around.
Friends in their circle are talking and believe that the odd pair have come along way. The two have circled each other for years, but didn’t officially meet until 2006. The two were introduced through mutual pals and began a casual e-mail friendship. When Joel split from his longtime girlfriend Hilary Duff, Nicole found the opportunity to step in.
A close pal reveals to Us Magazine how “The Simple Life” star made the first move and pursued Joel. “She said she liked how he was a ‘good mama’s boy’ in a bad boy body.” The couple began dating and after Nicole’s DUI stint, Joel asked her to drop the nights out for some nights in.
The “Good Charlotte” singer has tamed the wild child. One pal reveals, “he took her from that dark path she was heading toward and turned her around into a truly responsible person.” Joel even recites Bilble passages to Nicole on a regular basis. Maybe they should do a bible study and throw in Paris Hilton, since she could never remember the passages. Do you guys feel like Nicole is a changed woman?
