Nicole and Joel Twitter About Sparrow

Nicole Richie is still at the hospital resting after giving birth to Sparrow James Midnight Madden, but she wanted to take a moment and update her twitter page for all her fans.

"What a great day to come back on Twitter," Richie writes. "Thank you everyone for your well wishes. I love my family!!"

And Joel Madden is just as excited as Nicole! He took to his twitter page to write, "1st day of his life & my son is already a trending topic on twitter," he Twitters. "That's right son, ur just like your old man."

Nicole gave birth to little Sparrow in the middle of the night on 09/09/09. "He weighs 7lbs 14oz. Nicole, Joel, Harlow and Sparrow are all doing well. Thank you for all of your good wishes," read a statement on Nicole's official website.

Sparrow James Midnight Madden joins big sister Harlow Winter Kate, who was born in January 2008.

Thanks to her tweet, we're going to be glued to her twitter page anxiously waiting for the first photo of little Sparrow. Do you think he'll look more like Nicole or Joel?
