Nicole Richie has stayed relatively mum on the subject of her ex fiancé
DJ AM's death, but everyone has their own way of dealing with loss.
Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan and John Mayer were among some of the mourners that gathered at a memorial service for DJ AM yesterday at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
An onlooker said: "The crowd was very hip and eclectic, there were people dressed in smart black suits and people dressed in jeans and T-shirts. It was packed though, you could tell how well loved he was. It was a very somber and sad crowd."
During the two-and-a-half hour long service, which was structured to be like an Alcoholics Anonymous 12 steps meeting, his recent ex girlfriend, Haley Wood addressed the 3,500 mourners.
She said: "He was my soul mate and now he is my soul. He is my amazing grace."
AM was buried on Wednesday after he was found dead in his Manhattan apartment late Friday afternoon. While his death still remains unclear, we do know that a lot of painkillers and anti anxiety medication was found in his room--as well as crack cocaine with a crack pipe.
AM was reportedly found with undigested painkillers in his stomach and mouth and was planning on going back to rehab that following Monday, but he didn't make it through the weekend. Rest in peace AM!
