After holding onto her NYC home for nine years, Nicole Kidman has decided to part ways with her amazing West Village, NYC pad and her reward for returning this fine piece of real estate was a cool $16 million.
Unfortunately, because the home was in NY and not L.A., $16 million doesn't buy you much more than a nice view and a good address. In L.A., $16 million would buy you a pool with a grotto, a tennis court and some kind of indoor movie theater.
In NY overlooking the Hudson River, $16 mil only buys you 3,785 square feet, panorama windows, 30-ft-wide entrance gallery, a terrace, a chef’s kitchen, and a master suit with walk-in closets and a soaking tub.
I’m just saying, for $16 million in California you would totally have a basketball court and an entire wing for the housekeepers to live in. Maybe this is why New Yorker’s think Los Angelenos are lavish and obnoxious with our spending? Oh well.
Nicole apparently has more real estate in NY. She and hubby Keith Urban also have a $10 million apartment down the street at 200 Eleventh Avenue. They also have a home in Nashville (their primary residence) and a place in Sydney.
Surprsingly they do not own real estate in Los Angeles. Never gonna bump into Kidman at Urth café is basically all the matters to you, the commoner.
Kidman apparently tried to rent out the lavish NY pad but an ongoing construction project that ruined the view made it difficult to rent out.
