Nicole Kidman has fallen ill, and has been forced to cancel a scheduled trip to Kenya. She’s come down with the flu—regular flu, not swine flu—and decided on staying home to take care of herself.
Nicole was supposed to go to Kenya this week as part of an initiative launched by the United Nations Development Fund for Women (Unifem).
She’d planned on visiting schools and hospitals in the country and raise awareness of women's rights. A representative for Kidman says in a statement, "Nicole is deeply sorry that, because she is ill with the seasonal flu, she cannot come to Kenya. The Say No - UNiTE to End Violence against Women campaign is a top priority and together with Unifem she will work to advance this critical initiative."
She definitely made the right choice! Travel is the worst thing for someone who is sick! Get better, Nicole!
