Obama Weighs In On Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey Feud
President Barack Obama was pretty reserved during his debate with Mitt Romney last week, but he shall remain quiet no longer on the real debate worthy of the country’s attention: “American Idol” judges Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey.

When asked about the feud during an interview on Miami’s Y100, Obama said, “I think that they are going to be able to sort it out, I am confident. I’m all about bringing people together, working for the same cause. I think both outstanding artists are going to be able to make sure that they’re moving forward and not going backwards.” Dude is diplomatic.

Clearly this isn’t a red or blue issue for the Commander in Chief—both artists appear in his iTunes library. “Mariah, she’s actually done some events for us,” he said, not exactly playing favorites. “Nicki, I don’t know. But I’ve got her on my iPod.”

Not surprisingly, his casual answer didn’t please everyone who exclusively cites Fox News as fact. Apparently this obviously ice breaker question on a celeb-centric radio show which took one and half breaths to answer proves the President has EXTENSIVE knowledge on trivial entertainment news and clearly isn’t applying his energies to the other economic issues he talked about on the show for the rest of the interview.

It doesn’t at all mean that he has two adolescent daughters or the Internet or a sense of humor for 10 seconds of it. Where some people would’ve preferred their President to be a politician about the harmless topic and act like he didn’t know anything about it (lie), I prefer a President who is human.

Something we can all agree on, however, is that if Obama can offer a non-violent peace resolution between matters as messy as The United Kingdom of Mimi and Minajistan, it’s definitely only a matter of time before he sorts out the Israeli-Palestinian conflict too.
