Baseball fanatic Nick Lachey is really investing into his hobbies. We hear the singer is becoming part owner of the Tacoma Rainiers franchise, the Triple-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Nick tells People magazine, "It had always been a dream of mine to be involved in team sports in general, especially on a local level in your hometown." Lachey describes himself as a "huge baseball fan (who) grew up in Cincinnati, and baseball is kind of a religion there."
He may be part owner of the team now, but don’t expect to find him out on the field himself. Nick revealed, "Sports is – outside of entertainment – my passion. … Clearly I'm not going to be playing for anybody in my lifetime, so to be involved on the ownership level is the next best thing." Nick had tried to purchase his hometown's Cincinnati Reds a while back however his attempt wasn’t successful.
What’s next for Nick? Well the ”What’s Left Of Me” singer is heading back to the studio to record his upcoming album. Wonder what his inspiration will be this time?
