His parent must of made him turn himself in. He should have taken responsibility sooner.

Chet!
A couple of things that make you hmmm: 1. The Hogan family has released a statement noting "unfortunately John (the crash victim) was not wearing his seatbelt." 2. Hulk Hogan owns a Viper, and witnesses said Nick Hogan was racing a Viper.

Chet!...He's not denying anything. That's why he turned himself into authorities. You jackass.

Hulk Hogan wouldn't put his son or someone else's son in a position of harm. He is too over protective of his children to be out racing with him. They live in an area with other rich people who could have had a viper. Plus Hulk wouldn't let his child drink and drive. Obviously he had nothing to do with his child's reckless acts.

Chet!
Jaclyn and La Chat, you two are hilari-sad. Got to idontlikeyouinthatway.com and read the Hogan family statement. Then read the comments there, most of which are from people with a much tighter grip on reality than either of you. And Jaclyn, how many Vipers do you think there are in the Tampa Bay area? And how many the same color as Hulk Hogan's?

Chet!
Plus, Jaclyn and La Chat, how classy is it for the Hogans and their lawyer to try to make this all about seatbelts? And not, say, drinking and driving? Or the attitudes of a spoiled brat who bragged to Rides magazine about how cops let him go on a speeding ticket three times in one day because he's Hulk Hogan's son?

hogan was right to mention the seatbelts isn't it the law that u gotta wear them. nick is to blame for reckless driving but it was john's choice not to wear a seatbelt and become crippled. if hogan gotta pay his bills that's messed up john phucked up aswell.

Nick Hogan
@Chet...Just for the record. There are at least 10 Vipers here in Tampa Bay and at least four of them are the same color! And the guy didn't have his seatbelt on which is why he ended up paralysed! Yes, Nick crashed into him but his seatbelt would have definitely prevented his injuries as the police said after the incident. Don't spout off until you know the facts!

nick hogan should not do jail time. he is not a criminal and he should have a different type of sentencing. that guy is his friend. his close friend. and that's right...he wasn't wearing a belt. tragic oh yea. horrible sad and they all have a long long road ahead of them. tmz are jerks for getting tapes from jail and making hulk and others sound uncaring and weird. would you like your private conversations to be made public. his grandmother sounds like a tool. gross. how would you like to paralyze your close friend and end up in jail? some of you... not cool at all.

you grow up all rich and famouse, good for you. you drive a nice car because your rich and famouse, good for you. you hurt someone in a street racing accedent. you deserve everything you get. i don't care if your worth 50 bill's or 50 mill- you did the crime you do the time dumb ass. you think because your wealthy and people know who you are that you can change the way the law works, change your time to be served at home. Think again, welcome to the real world bro-

i think he should learn something from all this.it's sad that it should take such a horrible thing to make him grow up and be responcible and here in germany you get the ticket if some one in your car is not wearing their seat belt.i think he should do the time just for drinking and driving .the accident is just that an accident it could happen to any of us at any time .

im having a hard time deciding what i agree with on this case. i think nick should definetly be held responsible for his actions he was the one driving and the drunk one. but on the other hand his friend chose to get in nicks car and chose to not wear his seat belt. that cant be anybodys fault but his own. he certainly doesnt deserve to be in a coma and this is a very sad outcome for both parties. nick is only 17 years old .. not an adult so im wondering is he in juvenile jail or adult jail? i think he should definetly be in juvenile. 8 months is a long time but nothing compared to what most people (non celebrities) would have received for attempted manslaughter. this is a really tough issue to decide whats wrong and right. hulk hogan is also to blame for his sons actions letting him do w/e he wants and never giving him any discipline. all in all its a very sad situation.

The punishment wont fit the crime. I live in SC and there was a young lady-19- that killed someone while drinking and driving but she was sentenced to ONLY 1 YEAR OF HOUSE ARREST. Wheres the justice in that? Noone died in this situation and the family is wealthy so Im sure Nick will be off in 6 months or less.
