Hogan Drama Continues With Lawsuit

June 03, 2008

More drama in the Nick Hogan case! Today he was ordered to stay right where he is in solitary confinement, but now we've learned that yesterday Nick filed a lawsuit against the Pinellas County Sheriff's Department. He accuses the law enforcement officials of violating his privacy by releasing recorded phone calls between Nick and both of his parents without authorization.

Those phone calls painted the entire Hogan family in a pretty bad light, so it's understandable Nick didn't want the whole world hearing the conversations. Still, this won't do anything for him in the long run, like for instance, getting out of jail early? He can kiss that goodbye now!

when you are in jail they can monitor your calls, but it does not automaticly mean that they are allowed to release tapes without uthorisation to the general public

i hope everyone realizes what a scam this family is after those phone calls. Ok so maybe it is privacy invasion BUT the fact that it's out now, i'm glad everyone knows how pathetic this family is now that it's out. They should put the whole family in a nursing home and make that a reality tv show. haha seriously.

Rebecca those calls are not public record. They said they were public record to save there ass, but they really not and like I said it's one thing to tape them for court/professional reasons, but to sell them off to the press is outragous. Of course not as out outragous as how Tasha put it. What I trying to say is two wrongs don't make a right. You know what I mean.

Those calls are public record. The sheriff had the right to release them to the media if the media requested them.

Anyone else, yes it would be an invasion of privacy to release these calls to the public, but I could care less about little Nicky. It's astounding, his friend is going to be in a semi vegetative state for the rest of his life and he does not give a shit!

when everything the hogans do for profit is about their private lives, i have a hard time feeling they're due any privacy. whether it's right or wrong that their jail visit conversations were made public, that's not for me to say. being the creepy media whores that they are, i won't be having any sympathy for them anytime soon.

This is the Hogans SOMEGUY. But seriously I don't think it's right that they want to turn this into a show that the Hogans want to profit from it, but I also don't think they should have there privacy taken away it's one thing to be taping these phone calls for professional use, but to turn around and sell them off to the press is outragous.

the fact that they're informed all their conversations are monitored didn't clue them in on the "lack" of privacy? dumbasses.
