Nick Cannon can’t be kept down for long. After suffering a “mild kidney failure” last week, Nick Cannon is back home and on the road to recovery.
“Nick Cannon was released over the weekend to be with his family,” Nick’s rep told People. “He is resting and recovering at home and would like to thank everyone who has expressed concern, well wishes and prayers,” his rep told People.
And if you’re a fan of his radio show, good news. Nick will be returning to work soon enough.
“He plans to return to his live morning radio show broadcast Rollin’ with Nick Cannon on 92.3 NOW FM on January 17th.”
Nick’s wife, Mariah Carey, was giving updates about his condition throughout the week, revealing that he was “in a lot of pain” but was still in good spirits.
"We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible,” Mariah told People.
Mariah first announced the news by posting a photo on her website of her with Nick in his hospital bed. In the pic, Mariah had an expression that read, “I love my sick little honey-bunny. Now smile baby!” while Nick’s face seemed to say, “Get the hell off me, woman! You’re destroying my other kidney!”
"This is us in the hospital," Mariah wrote on her personal site. "Role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies)"
Mariah asked fans, friends and family to pray for her bed-ridden husband and then thanked everyone for the well-wishes. After being transported from an Aspen hospital to a hospital in Los Angeles, Nick said that he was getting “back to business” and then Tweeted a photo of himself getting a haircut.
