The funnyman and host of "America's Got Talent" Nick Cannon has been hospitalized in Aspen, Colorado for what is being described as mild kidney failure (which is actually not the name of a real medical condition, scroll down for more on that).
His dutiful wife Mariah Carey is right by his side and even though Cannon is "in a lot of pain" he is "as always, he's in good spirits considering the situation," Mariah tells People magazine.
Cannon has been transferred from the hospital in Aspen to a hospital in LA and Carey tells People that "the situation is not easy" but that Cannon is stable.
"We are hopeful that he'll be 100 percent as soon as possible," she adds, "We really appreciate everybody's love and support."
And even though Cannon is in a hospital for kidney failure, he still managed to tweet about it.
"Thank you for all your love, prayers and concern," he writes, "You know me...I will be a'ight."
Hmmm, I wonder if he wrote "a'ight" because he was about to hit his 140 character limit, or because it sounds more urban that way? Deep thoughts concerning Nick Cannon's tweets.
Also, "mild kidney failure" is not actually a real thing, at least it doesn't exist in medical terminology. What Carey probably meant to say was that he has acute kidney injury, and I don't know if "acute" was too intelligent for twitter or what, but that is the correct term for what is ailing Mr. Cannon.
