Because of the writers' strike, networks will do anything to fill holes in programming. And that means this year's political debates may be moving from their permanent spot in cable to the major networks.
NBC has already penciled in an hour in primetime to cover the so-called "Super Duper Tuesday" string of 20 primaries across the United States on February 5.
This may lead to an increase in airtime to the news division that night, or on January 3 with the Iowa caucus and January 8 with the New Hampshire primary. I guess while our favorite shows are on hiatus, it wouldn't hurt to brush up on the race for office!
