The dispute had been over how much actors would be compensated for new-media sales. Details haven’t been revealed as of yet, but it also had to do with the fact that producers were pushing for a three-year contract for commercial work, while SAG wanted it to be only a two-year contract.
Karen Bailey, VP of production at Starz Media, said in a statement, “As a producer and a member of SAG, I’m especially gratified that both sides found a way to extend the olive branch at this troubled economic time. I’m glad we were able to find that common ground. It’s good for everyone.”
The deal hasn’t been finalized quite yet, but only 50% of the members have to agree on it for the deal to pass! Hopefully this will be the end of the yearlong drama!
