Robin Roberts Heads Home From Hospital!

The “Good Morning America” host is finally coming home. After a month in the hospital from receiving a bone marrow transplant to treat MDS, a rare blood disorder, the newswoman is resting in the comfort of her NYC home.

“Home Sweet Home. That has never had quite so much meaning before,” Robin Roberts wrote on her blog.

Robin, who received a bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally-Ann, wrote, “My doctors tell me her cells are making themselves right at home.”

Robin won’t return to her post at GMA just yet, for now, she’s enjoying the comfort of her own bed.

“I will still be resting away from GMA until I’m given the all clear, but sleeping in my own bed again feels like a big victory. My doctors will be monitoring me closely and I will still be at the hospital regularly to make sure we’re on the right track.”

Robin wrote on her blog how after having the transplant 3 weeks ago, she feels like she is just a 21-day-old newborn.

“I am considered 21 days old. That’s how long it’s been since my transplant. Remember when you brought your baby home for the first time?”

“Each day I get stronger and stronger. I am fond of saying, ‘This too shall pass.’ And even in some dark moments, of which there are still a few, I now see that light at the end of the tunnel. This too really shall pass.”

Hoping for a swift recovery Robin! Can't wait to see you back on TV!
