Employees Get $5,000 Bonus Thanks To 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Not only is “Fifty Shades of Grey” satisfying the libidos of house wives everywhere, it’s also satisfying the pocket books of the employees of the company that published the book.

Because “Fifty Shades of Grey” sold SO MANY copies (35 million copies to be exact) for Random House publishing company, they could afford to give thousands of employees $5,000 Christmas bonuses!

In case you’ve been in a coma for the past 9 months, “Fifty Shades of Grey” is a trilogy of novels loosely based on the Twilight book series, but with whips, chains, and obscene amounts of graphic sex. Like, cannot even quote the book for fear of it being NSFW. They call it mommy p*rn, but honestly, I’m in my twenties and all my friends read it, so really it should just be called book p*rn at this point.

So basically, when the Random House employees went to their Holiday party, the CEO announced that anyone who has worked at the company for over a year would be receiving a $5,000 check.

Cheers, screaming, clapping, and fainting ensued.

That being said, I feel like everyone who wanted to read the book already has, so who knows how many more copies they will sell?

The book is being adapted as a film and the screenplay is currently being written. Names like Ryan Gosling, Matt Bomer, and Michael Fassbender are being thrown around to star as the sexy lead.
