Danny DeVito and his wife of 30 years Rhea Perlman have decided to go their separate ways.
Fooling us into thinking they were one of a few Hollywood couples that could last forever, their reps confirmed to Hollyscoop that the couple have separated.
They were married for 30 years, but were together for 12 years prior to their wedding date, meaning that this couple were together for 42 years! That’s literally a lifetime! What could possibly have gone wrong for these two?!
There becomes a point when “irreconcilable differences” just doesn’t cut it.
So far, they have not filed for divorce and have only separated.
They met when Rhea went to see a friend perform in the Broadway play “The Shrinking Bride” in 1970 and Danny happened to also be in the show. They moved in together two weeks after meeting.
The couple appeared together on the sitcom “Taxi” from 1978 -1983 and the film Matilda. Rhea is most known for her role as Carla Tortelli on the sitcom “Cheers.”
Danny DeVito is currently appearing on the FX sitcom, “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia.”
The couple have three grown children together, Lucy (29), Grace (27) and son Jacob (24).
