After decades of being known as the boring old people network, CBS is finally catching up to ABC and NBC to attempt reaching out to a younger demographic.
This morning they're launching "The Early Show" (catchy name) to try and compete with "Today" and "Good Morning America." They're eliminating the 18 minutes of local news that usually kicks off the show.
This is great news if you live in LA or any big city for that matter, because you won't have to wake up to stories about stabbings and gang fights right around the corner from you. Instead, you can count on numerous cooking segments, fashion at any age, and where to take that big trip this spring. Or, you can continue watching the Today Show.
