B put on a special performance for members of the dictator’s family on New Year’s Eve 2009, but instead of keeping the cash for herself she gave it all away to Haiti.
Her publicist said: "All monies paid to Beyonce for her performance at a private party at Nikki Beach St. Barts on New Year's Eve 2009, including the commissions paid to her booking agency, were donated to the earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago.
"Once it became known that the third party promoter was linked to the family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause."
The money was donated to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, established in the wake of last year's devastating earthquake, and a spokesperson for the fund confirmed that it received the $1 million check in the weeks after the January 2010 earthquake.
B and a few other performers, including Nelly Furtado, Usher and Mariah Carey got heat for accepting money from the family, but the good news is Nelly and B already handed the mullah over to different charities.

Furtado insists that she won't exercise relentlessly in order to reverse the aging process like Madonna does, and would rather just sit around her kitchen and eat instead.
She said: "I am not ready to adjust physically, just to be marketable. My sell-by date will run out eventually.
"Unlike Madonna, I wouldn't be willing to do Pilates round the clock, just to slow down the deterioration of my body. I prefer to sit in the kitchen, drink tea and eat biscuits."
Maybe Madonna does need to lay off the upper body workouts a little, but at 50 she's in better shape than most 20 year olds. And that's saying a lot! We'd rather be in shape like Madonna than sit around and eat biscuits all day. Whose side are you on?

In the interview she says, "We got married July 19th. I love it. I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out. I’m trying to enjoy things a little more. I'm happy ... I'm excited about the future."
Well we had been wondering about those two ever since Nelly was spotted wearing a diamond ring recently in Miami. The two met while working on her 2006 album, Loose, and got engaged last year. Congrats to the couple!

When is this Hollywood baby boom gonna end? Star is reporting that Nelly Furtado is knocked up with her second child. Who's the baby daddy? It's her sound engineer fiance Demacio Castellon.
"She's not very far along yet, so she's trying to keep the pregnancy under wraps," a "source" told Star magazine.
Everyone at the Grammy's looked like they had a baby bump. Maybe it was the lighting or celebrities are finally starting to eat.
UPDATE: Nelly's rep just denied the rumors.

This week has been filled with baby news and wedding news. Rumor on the block is that Nelly Furtado has married her boyfriend Demacio Castellon.
Furtado was reportedly seen showing off her new ring in Miami which got people talking.
The suspicion of a wedding went to an all time high when fellow singer, Natasha Beddingfield, congratulated the couple during a concert earlier this week.
Expect pregnancy rumors in about 1 month.

We all know that Justin Timberlake is a big diva but who knew Nelly Furtado would be a diva as well?
According to celebrity restaurateur Guy Rubino, JT and Nelly Furtado top the celebrity diva list. JT apparently thinks he is too good to order things from the menu and insists on ordering whatever he wants.
Rubino tells The New York Daily News, "Timberlake comes into Rain, doesn't even look at the menu and shouts for random food that we don't make. If he knew what he wanted, why come to an Asian restaurant in the first place? "
That’s JT, but what has Nelly Furtado done to piss off this chef? She apparently made a reservation for 10 guests and showed up and hour late with five extra people and for parties that size, the chef does a prix-fixe type of menu. "Nelly objected and was really rude about it. She expected individual dishes to be prepared. Her manager even came into the kitchen and had the gall to say, 'Just f**king do it! I told her that she and her client could just f**king leave."
And if your wondering who Rubino thinks are the nicest celebrities, it’s Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. "They're very polite. Every time they come in, they pop into the kitchen to say hello. I just love them."

The 2007 MTV Video Music Awards is set to air live on September 9th at 9PM (ET/PT) from the Palms Hotel and Casino is Las Vegas and Hollyscoop will be there front and center for all the action.
We're super excited to report that some more awesome artists have been added to the lineup of an already jammed packed list of performers.
It was just announced that Common, Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes, T-Pain, Cee-Lo, Daniel Merriweather and Lil' Wayne will also set the stage on the big night.
Other's that we will see on stage is the always entertaining Timbaland, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy, Amy Winehouse, Chris Brown, Foo Fighters and Rihanna.
All I can say is that weekend in Vegas is gonna be CRAZY!

Nelly Furtado has just gotten engaged to sound engineer Demacio "Demo" Castellon. The two worked together during her 2006 hit album Loose.
In July Furtado told Blender Magazine that she had a "secret boyfriend" of eight months, adding: "I just don't really talk about it. It's nobody famous or anything." Well now we know who the "secret boyfriend" is and he has already become somewhat famous just by association.
“Demo” and Furtado share a close friendship with Timbaland and when he was asked if the engagement was true he replied, "Yes."
Well Congrats to Nelly! She seems to be in a great place in her life. She has had an amazing comeback with her music career and now she has found love. What else can she ask for right?

Last night 70,000 people took their seats at London's Wembley Stadium for a concert which helped celebrate the life of the “Peoples Princess”, Lady Diana. The benefit concert was organized by her sons Princes William and Harry which also marked what would have been her 46th birthday.
If you missed the show, no worries we have the scoop for you. One of our favorite acts was Elton John who took the stage twice, as he opened and closed the show. Elton was a good friend of Diana’s and played “Candle in the Wind”, the same song he sang to Diana during her funeral.
Another act we enjoyed was Nelly Furtado who even made the Princes shake their hips. Prince William addressed the crowd, "this evening is about all that my mother loved in life: her music, her dance, her charities and her family and friends."
Soccer ace David Beckham also took the stage as he introduced “Take That”. Other acts included Diana’s favorite acts including Duran Duran and Tom Jones. Among the 24 performances were songs by Rod Stewart, Kanye West, Joss Stone, Lily Allen and Sean "Diddy" Combs, who performed Missing You". At one point Diddy said, "Ten years ago Princess Diana, she went to a better place, and today we celebrate her rebirth.""I love you Diana, we miss you."
