Stars Strap On Flags And Play Football In ‘Madden NFL 13’ Pigskin Pro-Am

Celebrities and former NFL legends gathered to show off their football skills or lack thereof…

It was red and blue – or the Famers and the Gamers – for the Madden NFL 13 Pigskin Pro-AM bowl on Saturday in Chicago. The flag football game is an annual event that combines our favorite peeps from both Hollywood and the NFL and throws them all together on a field for a good ol' fashioned game of pigskin.

Actors Alison Sweeny, Jesse Williams, Ne-Yo, Nick Jonas and others all played the role of “football stars.” They shared the field with former NFL legends like Brett Favre, Deion Sanders, and Chris Carter.

On Friday, June 22, the stars attended a kick-off party in the evening. The game itself played out in the afternoon on Saturday,

The Pigskin Pro-Am is part of the release of the latest installment of videogame football franchise Madden NFL 13. The official release date is set for August 28 and promises to deliver the “first true sports RPG” experience for gamers.

No doubt the actors felt like ballers themselves on Saturday. Jesse Metcalfe of TNT’s “Dallas” threw a pass to a receiver. “Dancing with the Stars” Kym Johnson danced by tacklers toward the end zone for the blue team. Josh Henderson countered, diving for a pass for the red team.

In the end, the red team pulled out on top.

“Wow. What an amazing game at the Madden pigskin pro-am. Gamers (my team) won!!!” tweeted team member Nick Jonas. “And I won MVP! 4 touchdown receptions!” https://twitter.com/nickjonas/status/216282164038344704 Way to brag, Nick… But congrats!
