“Wow. Snooki is on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. Really? I quit. (Just kidding, but almost serious....)."
Who can blame the guy? That sh-t does make you want to give up. It’s like dedicating your life to studying biology, making some huge strides in genetic engineering, and then seeing Scooby-Doo on the cover of Scientific American.
Snooki told US Magazine,”I was just really upset. I’m a big fan of Ne-Yo. Every song was on my iPod and I deleted them yesterday just because of his comments…I understand you are a little mad cause your career is not up right now, and I'm on the cover but…I'm a nice person and I deserve it, so get over it."
I’ve got no problem with Snooki being on a magazine cover. But it needs to be something fitting, like a tanning magazine or a magazine about falling on your ass constantly. Something appropriate.

Ne-Yo is backing a campaign by Macys called Respect! that calls for a stop to domestic violence, and promotes respect between the two people in a relationship. He’s also debuted a new track entitled “Heroes,” and the proceeds go straight to the charity.
Ne-Yo debuted the song and spoke to a crowd in New York City today, and addressed the violence between his fellow artists. "What happened between Chris Brown and Rihanna was unacceptable, and we need to all work together and make sure it never happens again, to anyone,” he said.
“Respect is the foundation of positive relationships. There’s often too much violence around us – and we need to focus on and celebrate those behaviors that inspire healthy interactions. I hope this song brings visibility to the issue and encourages all of us to be heroes to others.”
This is a far cry from what Ne-Yo said following the attack. At the time, he’d said to MTV that Rihanna was “fine” and when it came to Chris, “That’s still my homeboy at the end of the day.”
Guess Ne-Yo has changed his mind and feels more strongly about domestic violence now. For every song downlaoded from February 1 – March 31, 2010, Alfani will make a $1 donation, up to $50,000, to the campaign to end relationship violence. Hollyscoop talked exclusively with some celebrities on the red carpet of the 22nd Annual ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards to hear their reaction to Michael’s untimely death.
R&B singer Melody Thornton expressed her deep sorrow after hearing the news. She told Hollyscoop exclusively, “I had a pretty crazy reaction. I had to get picked up by our manager and taken home and couldn't drive.... Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey are my 2 favorite artists if all time. It's been hard, it's been tough.”
Though Melody never got the honor of meeting MJ, his music had a huge affect on her. She told us, “He is music.....that's what I remember...from the very beginning. He just represents such an amazing performer and when you think about all the things he did, choreographer, dancer, singer, producer...everything he did... You know songwriter...and then he just took off....because he applied himself...We worry about everybody's personal lives and we talk about musicians or entertainers in general...and he really gave his life.”
R&B singer Shanice was also at the event and told Hollyscoop it was because of Michael she was there. She said, “Part of the reason I came here tonight is because I had to get out of the house. I've been home crying, I've been a mess ever since I heard the news. I actually got to work with Michael, He did a song called Keep the Faith years ago and I sang background on it, so I got to work with him. He's such a warm great spirit. He was such a good person I would get so angry when people would say bad things about him.”
As for hit maker Ne-Yo, he told Hollyscoop exclusively that he’d been busy working on material with the King of Pop before he died. He said, “I mean I would have loved to see the album come out. I would have loved to finish that, but I feel that Michael Jackson has done enough music to basically live forever. He's an immortal human being. I was just happy to get the opportunity to work with him even for a second.”
Newly engaged The Dream and Christina Milian showed up on the red carpet, and each shared how Michael’s death has affected them personally.
The Dream told us, “Michael Jackson's departure from us has affected my whole family. We know what he meant and we know how many barriers he broke....you know...black or white didn't matter with him. I think he made believers out of a lot of people no matter what color you were, that no matter what small of a place you come from, no matter how small of a person you are that you can be as big as you need to be.
"He was just such a huge star and I don't think he could be replaced. I just came off tour with Keyshia Cole and the funny thing was I was doing a rendition of Dirty Diana on my set...so it's weird I just came off tour like a week ago and this happened.”
Christina told Hollyscoop of her reaction, saying, “I was saddened. I'm a huge fan of his like everybody else in the world. His legend will live on forever. I was hoping that some day my future children will be able to experience what I have by watching him growing up, but I definitely will bring his music on the way it's been passed on by my parent and their parents before Michael Jackson.”
Finally, Hollyscoop caught up with Australian Motown band Human Nature, who toured with Michael in Europe. They said, “We had an unbelievable opportunity to tour with him for our 50 shows so we've been huge fans of Michael so it's terrible that we lost him. We share a name with one of his songs. We didn't name ourself after the song, but we find ourselves singing it every now and then.”
They added: “We learned so much from him about how to put on a great show.”
We asked each of the stars what their favorite Michael Jackson song is, and here’s what each of them had to say.
Melody Thornton: “Billy Jean because he performed it on the AMA's and even when I listen to it I'm just in the car I know where the screams are and that performance he just came alive for me...he'd always been..but that's my favorite song and moment as well.”
Shanice: “Rock With You, Human Nature, Off the Wall, Thriller, Beat It. All of them pretty much.”
Ne-Yo: “Lady in My Life.”
The Dream: “Oh yeah I remember listening to Beat it while I was getting a whoopin... my momma was beating me...like literally...not in a bad way…I'm sure I was doing something that needed it...”
Christina Milian: “Beat it...I love th

Wearing all white, Janet took the stage at the Shrine Auditorium to thank fans for all their support in the wake of Michael's passing.
She said: "My entire family wanted to be here tonight, but it was just too painful so they elected me to speak with all of you.
"I would just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon. To us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts.
"On behalf of my family and myself, thank you for all your love - thank you for all your support. We miss him so much," she said as she fought off tears.
As she left the stage, Jamie Foxx, Stevie Wonder and Ne-Yo performed the Jackson 5 hit I'll Be There and a photo montage of Michael played on the screen in the background.

Joe Jackson, the father of the 50-year-old pop legend, who died of a suspected cardiac arrest last Thursday, was one of the first to pay homage to his son, speaking about him on the red carpet at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium.
He said: "I wish the world had recognised him when he was living. Right now, he's bigger than ever. But I wish he was here to see all this, to hear all this."
Stars like Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Wyclef Jean, and Ne-Yo also mentioned the late King of Pop. Ne-Yo's rendition of Michael's hit Lady In My Life brought Joe to tears, while Ciara covered Heal The World.

He's not gay, he's not prejudice, he's not engaged, and he's not a woman. Ok, we made the last one up, but it was probably coming sooner or later. Check out the official blog Ne-Yo released about rumors of him being gay...
The whole gay thing. For goodness sake it’s been 4 years!!!! Y’all still on that huh?
The whole “boys” song, and the song “go over there”. See this is what happens when people steal. These songs were clearly written for women. Had you been patient, you would have heard them the way they were supposed to be heard, with the voice of the intended artist on em’. But noooo, someone gets a hold of these demos and suddenly everybody forgets that I write songs for women. Riiight.
I mean come on people. Is this really what you’re gonna spend time on?? Will you not be satisfied until I truly become this asshole you so desperately want me to look like??
Here’s my stand on the whole thing:
I’m NOT gay, I’m NOT prejudice to anyone, I DID NOT get stomped out by Jim Jones or anyone else, I’m NOT engaged, I’M NOT STUPID. And to anyone that INSISTS on thinking that any of these things are true……FUCK YOU.
To the haters….find some new material please!!! It’s 2009, our president is black!!! Time for change.
To everyone else……I love you to death, thanx for all your support.WE PLATINUM ROUND HERE!!!!!
Much love, and see you at the grammy’s.

Wonder if Ashlee will bring along baby Mowgli to the bash?! He'll still be really young, but with a rocker for a dad, he'll have to get used to the jet-setting lifestyle at some point!
Tune in for the Rockin New Years Eve celebration on December 31st at 10PM on ABC.

In the midst of all the drama surrounding Hollywood, real talent is usually hidden. Hollyscoop sat down with Ne-Yo at the Hennessy artistry concert at Kress in Los Angeles on Wednesday where he expressed his frustration with the industry and their obsession with drama.
Speaking to Hollyscoop.com, Ne-Yo said: "I think that what’s glorified in the business today is drama. I think that I don’t get the same attention today because I’m a fully functional human being. I’m not a heroin attack, I’m not sleeping with 17 different celebrity women."
He added, "Britney Spears isn’t pregnant with my child. And I think that because of that people don’t pay attention to me as they do to some of these other cats. I just think it’s sad that the industry thrives on drama and trainwrecks as opposed to talent."
The fact that he's not a "heroin attack" or a "trainwreck" is probably the reason why he actually gets respect in the industry instead of being mocked by tabloids and blogs. Do you agree with Ne-Yo? Does the industry thrive on drama as opposed to talent?

Ne-Yo and R. Kelly were co-headlining the Double Up tour of North America in 2007 when Ne-Yo was asked to leave the tour after just two shows.
"I believe it was because the first few reviews of the show, people were talking more about my set than his and I don't think he liked that too much," said Ne-Yo.
R. Kelly must have thought scrapping Ne-Yo was a great idea at the time, but Ne-Yo got the last laugh. He's probably laughing all the way to the bank.
