National Treasure: Book Of Secrets


Nicholas Cage’s ‘National Treasure’ ruled the box office this past weekend raking $20.2 million over the weekend totaling $171 million.

Coming in at #2 is I Am Legend, which brought in $16.4 million, while Juno came in at three with $16.2 million.

Disney has a lot to celebrate this holiday weekend as their sequel "National Treasure: Book of Secrets" brought in an estimated $45.5 million from 3,832 theaters.

The original "National Treasure" debuted at $35.1 million over Thanksgiving weekend in 2004. "I Am Legend" lost its spot to No.2 and "Alvin and the Chipmunks" came in at No. 3. Who will take the No.1 spot this New Years weekend? From the looks of things we have a feeling Mickey Mouse might be taking on the lead.

Are you guys ready for National Treasure: Book of Secrets? Actors Nicholas Cage, Diane Kruger and Jon Voight were on hand last night for the movie premiere in Ziegeld theatre in New York city.

The film is directed by Jon Turteltaub and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Although there were no plans for a sequel, due to the first film's impressive box-office performance, an earning of $347.5 million worldwide, a sequel was given the go-ahead in 2005.
