And I thought Beyonce and Jay-Z were good.
Natalie Portman and her now-husband Benjamin Millepied somehow got married right under the media’s radar. I don’t know how they did it, but congrats. Wish you would’ve told us, but whatever.
The ring was designed by jeweler Jamie Wolf, who also designed the actress’ engagement ring. A rep for the designer told Hollyscoop:
“As with the engagement ring she designed for Natalie, Wolf created the eco-friendly rings with recycled platinum and conflict-free diamonds.”
The jeweller explained: "Ben was exceptionally thoughtful and dedicated and patient to make sure we had everything right.
“We wanted everything about the ring to speak to things that are important to Natalie.”
Wolf’s celebrity clientele include Halle Berry, Hilary Duff, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel and a long list of other clients. The designer’s website, www.jamiewolf.com, boasts: “Jamie Wolf jewelry is hand made in New York City. The collection is 18kt yellow, white and rose gold. Custom pieces are available by request.”
Us Weekly first reported the additional wedding band Natalie was wearing at Sunday’s Academy Awards. No further details are yet available on when and where the couple tied the knot. Portman’s rep and manager have not replied for requests for comment.
The two fell in love on the set of ‘Black Swan,’ the movie that won Natalie the Best Actress Oscar at last year’s Academy Awards. A source on set said it was “seductive to watch” Natalie and Benjamin fall for each other. “There was no way the attraction could be missed. I don’t think he could help himself—she’s dazzling!”
At last year’s Oscars, Portman called Millepied “my beautiful love,” and thanked him for giving her “my most important role of my life.”
The two welcomed their son, Aleph, into the world in June 2010.
Congrats, Natalie. We forgive you. I guess.
