Naomi Watts vs. Michelle Williams: Battle to Play the Best Marilyn Monroe

Did producers just happen to forget about a little actress names Scarlett Johansson?? Naomi Watts has just been cast as Marilyn Monroe in a new biopic about the iconic actress/model called Blonde. The film is based on the Joyce Carol Oates novel of the same name.

In addition, Michelle Williams will also play the blonde bombshell in a separate project called My Week With Marilyn.

Naomi Watts Named Most Profitable Actress

According to Cinematical.com, the film will show Monroe's time in England as she shot The Prince and the Showgirl with Laurence Olivier. They’re still trying to cast her leading man, a Shakespearean actor.

While we love Naomi, we would never imagine her in this role—she’s so waif like! Michelle on the other hand seems like she could pull it off, even if we do think Scarlett would be best for the job (Sorry Lindsay Lohan).

One thing is fore sure, both Naomi and Michelle better start eating, because Marilyn was way curvier than they are! Those were the days when women had “real” curves!
