Nadya Suleman to Apply for Welfare

Nadya Suleman is planning to go on welfare. She’s no longer on food stamps, so she’s moving on to the next thing!

According to the Whittier Daily News, she is thinking about applying for the federal assistance called the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

She said in a statement yesterday, "If I need to apply for WIC to provide my babies with formula, then I'm going to."

WIC provides federal grants to states for food, health care referrals and nutrition education for low-income women and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.

The program would provide the octuplets, the six older children under age 8, and Suleman with baby formula, cereal, milk, cheese, vegetables and juice.

That would certainly help out with her bills! According to Kaiser, her formula bill each month would cost $2000. Suleman said her priority is to feed her children and not worry about scrutiny regarding public assistance.

She says, "I have to let go of what people think. I can't live like that.” She can’t face the reality that tax payers are making it possible for her to eat and have a roof over her head every night!

are here.. so she has to take care of them by any means necessary.. what mother on the planet wouldn't do what they had to do to make sure their children ate? Peole are screaming about "but it is my tax money paying for this" YOu are right for this and every other mother and family that is on welfare.. would you rather at the end of the day allow a child to starve? cause guess what as much as you say put them in foster care, guess what your taxes go to those children too.. the parents get money in the form of SSI for each child they foster or adopt.. so what is the difference? I would rather my money go to helping a struggling mother and putting food in her childrens mouths than to Iraq or to these big greedy corporations.. wouldn't you? And let's face it if the government wasn't taking our money for this they would find a way to take it for something else..so it is really money you will never see.. And then there are those who are complaining about the allegations that she was or is a stripper.. so what she is doing what she has to do.. do you want her to work or do you want her to continue eating up your oh so precious taxes? Pick one you can't have it both ways.. Let's face most of the country doesn't agree with her decisions and we are running around trying to find a logical reason to justify sticking our nibby american noses into someone elses life.. She doesn't appear to be at all abusive to her children.. unstable a little.. you would have to be to do what she has done.. but not abusive.. we have blown up the fact that her son got a bite mark in the middle of his back.. how many of you with more than one child has had one sibiling hit, bite , scratch or kick the other sibiling.. everyone of you I bet and did someone call Children services on you? and if they did wouldn't you find annoying, rediculous, and offensive? We as a country are waiting for her to fail when we should be wishing her the best and helping in her in a very difficult and hectic time not just for her sake as a mother, but for these innocent and blameless children who did not ask to be thrown into such a situtation.. get out of the hype and look at the big picture.. I would gladly give tax$$ to feed her children because no child should go without a roof over their head or go hungry. She deserves and has rights to that public assistance for her kids like any other family does. QUIT JUDGING HER!!!!!!

BEFORE she gets anymore public $$, she should be forced to get a JOB, STOP SHOPPING and not spend ANY MONEY unless a responsible adult agrees it to be a worthwhile expense. This woman has ABUSED the system & is nothing but A LAZY FREE-loader not wanting to work for a living. The state of CA should go AFTER the greedy MD who implanted ALL 14 of those kids. LET HIM pay his fair share TO RAISE THEM; or, revoke his medical license. PASS NEW LAWS that PREVENT anything LIKE THIS from ever happening AGAIN. How funny, she's always correcting the media about AIW being paid by the tax payers NOT donations. The HO has been living off of the tax payers more than NOT.
