White Stripes And The Case Of The Stolen Voice

White Stripes

A Canadian professor is suing the White Stripes, saying they used her voice without permission in one of their songs. Dominique Payette is a professor and longtime radio host in Quebec, and says her voice was used in "Jumble, Jumble" off their 2000 album.

And it took her 8 years to figure that out? She said after figure it out, she asked the band to cease distribution of it, but they refused. She's now seeking $70,000 from them.

There should be a grace period with these lame lawsuits. Like she could have 3 years max to figure it out, and then after that, sorry! Guess she's never been much of a White Stripes fan.
