Usher took the stage wearing sunglasses that could barely shield the tears we could hear through his voice, as he beautifully sang the song
Gone Too Soon.
Usher was able to make it through almost the entire song before breaking before the last line of the song. He then went over to Katherine Jackson and knelt before her, paying respects to her son.
Usher and Michael were good friends and collaborators. The two had performed together for Michael’s 30th anniversary special in 2001.
