The MTV Europe Music Awards are underway in Berlin, and

has already scooped up three awards!
The show kicked off with Katy Perry, the host, doing her own renditions of “I Gotta Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas, “When Love Takes Over” by David Guetta featuring Kelly Rowland, “Use Somebody” by Kings of Leon, “Halo” by Beyonce, and “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga.

U2 Announces U.S. Tour Dates for 2010

just played their biggest show to date, with 100,000 present at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA, and millions more who watched the concert live on YouTube.
And now fans can look forward to even more North American tour dates in 2010. The band announced twelve dates today, with more expected to follow. Presales will begin this week on U2.com.

Two of music’s biggest superstars are set to perform at the concerts to celebrate the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame’s 25th anniversary.

U2 Donates $7 Million to National Music Program for Young People

Proving that one can never do enough for youth charities,

has just donated $7 million dollars to the National Music Program for Young People.
The Ireland Funds, an international organization that raises funds for causes in Ireland, will help manage the money and raise an additional $3 million for the program, known as the Music Network, it said in an e-mailed statement today.

is gearing up for a world tour this summer, and they’re planning on donating $12 million of their expected profit to charity. Talk about a tax write-off!
U2 hits the road this June, starting off in Barcelona, going through Europe, and then coming to the United States in September. And they plan on taking all of the proceeds from the VIP auction ticket sales, which amount to $12 million, to a leading Aids organization.
