The Sweet
The UK rock band The Sweet is debuting their first live album this weekend!

The CD will play April 12th at 9PM on Westwood One Radio, which is KLOS 95.5 in Los Angeles. The show will feature nine songs and a behind the scenes look at the band through exclusive interviews. A version of the show will also be part of Westwood One’s Superstar Concert Series during the week of April 27th-May 3rd.

The Sweet shot to the top of the charts in the 1970s with such hits as Ballroom Blitz, Fox on the Run, Love is Like Oxygen, Little Willy, Hellraiser, Teenage Rampage,Blockbuster, and Action.

Formed in the U.K. in 1968, the original lineup featured vocalist Brian Connolly, bassist/vocalist Steve Priest, drummer Mick Tucker and guitarist Frank Torpey. The band enjoyed more than a decade of international success before disbanding in 1981.

In January 2008, founding member Steve Priest decide to reconstitute the band in Los Angeles, and enlisted the formidable talents of guitarist Stuart Smith, singer Joe Retta, drummer Richie Onori and keyboardist Stevie Stewart. And here they are today!

I'm not happy with your description about The Sweet. You left out Andy Scott and Mick Stewart. Mick Stewart was the guitarist for The Sweet after Frank Torpey left and Andy Scott replaced Mick Stewart as guitarist for The Sweet in 1970 and stayed with the original Sweet until they disbanded in 1981. Please correct your information. Thanks Alfred
