Robbie Williams
We didn't see this one coming! Someway somehow Robbie Williams has been named music's greatest superstar of all time.

Robbie hasn't released a song since 2007, but that didn't stop him from coming out on top in a recent MTV poll. He even beat out Michael Jackson!

A source said: “This proves that Robbie is still a superstar in many people’s minds.”

While we agree that Robbie is super talented, we're not quite sure we agree with him being greater than Michael Jackson. Check out the top ten list below and let us know if you agree with the list. Who do you think should have been on the list that was excluded?

MTV’s Greatest Superstars:

1 – Robbie Williams
2 – Take That
3 – Michael Jackson
4 – The Killers
5 – Girls Aloud
6 – The Prodigy
7 – Red Hot Chilli Peppers
8 – Beyonce Knowles
9 – The Pussycat Dolls
10 – Oasis

Who conducted and voted in this poll? Delusional Euro-tweens? I can' believe anyone at HS thinks this pathetic list of nobodies (with teh exception of MJ & RCP)is worthy of one nanobit of bandwidth. Slow news day in pop culture land, eh?

Weeell ...I'm from Europe ! Scandinavia actually and all I can say is that Michaels music has started selling like crazy here again for the past two months now. In our capital Copenhagen, we had a Hugh MJ arrangement at Tivoli (our most famous amusementpark) to honor him and pay our respects to the late king of pop. Our Tv channels are sending MJ stuff all the time, tonight they honered his birthday by showing a documentary about him followed up with his movie Moonwalker. I purchased "The collection" and his Belgian edition album (childhood wasn't on the first one and I just had to have that one) shortly after his passing and they were almost sold out. So I don't know but Michael IS HUGH here in Europe too.....we even have doctors who made comments on the news about the medical drug that killed him and absolutely irrisponseble his doctor has been acting while giving it to him. One thing was to use it in the setting of a private home but the worse part was to not monitor his heart and breath non stop while he was under. There is a reason that surgery (where the drug is normally used) requires so many doctors and nurses and also why the patient is hooked up to lifesupport (for breathing) and heart monitor all the time till they wake up again. Its just very hard to even contemplate that someone would be holding his life in their hands by putting him under ...and then step out of the room and leave him to him self. I don't care if Michael demanded the drug...he was not a doctor and he was not responsible for how the drugs would affect him -his doctor held that responsebility. ...ok..I'm off track again....that tends to be my weakness I guess

You can tell this list was a poll out of Europe. Robbie Williams has never been able to break into the American market. Without success in the USA, which is the biggest market for music, you can't be the music's greatest superstar. That diffinitely belongs to MJ. And the pusscat dolls? Really Europe?

So Robbie won the poll or what? How recent is that poll? Cuz lately it has got to be Michael who sold the most....sales on his stuff went up enormously after his passing.....everybody grapping on to as much of his talent as possible now that we know he will be giving no more to the world....including myself....weøre watching his movie "Moonwalker" all the time....such an incredible imagination that man had! Its really a shame he didn't get to direct more movies...I think he was brilliant at that!

MJ is #1 of all time. The list is missing Elvis, Prince, Beatles, Madonna, Whitney Houston, Rolling Stones. Who IS Robbie Williams anyway?
6:10PM 08/28/09 myholly787
The number one spot belongs to whoever won the poll....unfortunately we cannot change the results after the fact to match our expectations. SORRY! That's LIFE, folks!

yeah agree ...Spot number 1 belongs to MJ for sure. I mean come on, he covers like 3 generations of fans! Even my youngest (a 5 year old) will just stand and stare hypnotized when I play some MJ on utube. then he will imitate his moves down to every detail and then he gets sad that he will never meet him now and that MJ can't be with his kids anymore. A few times he actually cried over him! ...And though I like Robbies Music too, especially his "feel" song, I somehow can't imagine him having fans as young as my son. Michael just had that magical glow that speaks to all people, children and also the child living within us adults. He IS the number 1 ....however though, I think Robbie should ge granted number two over take that :-)

That's Great!!! I love Robbie Williams. Why are the pussycat dolls listed?
