Singer Chris Brown, Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson, rappers Young Jeezy, Nelly, Lil' Wayne, Soulja Boy, Flo Rida, JabbaWockeez were all under one roof on Tuesday night as the 2008 BET Awards took over Los Angeles.

Chart topping singer Usher opened the show with a great act and hottie Rihanna took a bow with her latest single. Jill Scott stirred up emotions as she performed a tribute to Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Al Green and music mogul Quincy Jones received a much deserved “Humanitarian Award.”

The big winner of the night was Kanye West, while Alicia Keys and Chris Brown took home an award for Best R &B artists.

Hollyscoop’s correspondent Chima Simone was on the very long red carpet getting you the scoop. Check out our special video coverage below. Enjoy!

yes Soulja Boy it's not the best, is Soulja Boy suppose to rap about gangster rap even if he knows nothing about gangster, he's just a school boy enjoying his phase in hip-hop. hip hop it's not dead, the is new blood of hip hop.

I've never understood what's so special about her. She's not attractive (ODD looking face, nasty hair) and her 'acting' is just being herself. I am a single black girl from blackcentury.com which is a niche dating service.
