Rumors are swirling that the
Pussycat Dolls are broken up! We’ve heard talk of a split for months, and today band member Ashley Roberts made a statement that’s put fans into a frenzy.
Leaving her London hotel this morning, Ashley addressed fans, saying, “This is the last time we'll be in the UK as a band. We've broken up. We're sorry.”
But the
Daily Mail says a spokesman was quick to jump in and refute the allegation, saying: “The girls are still together. They are in Beirut for a gig.”
This is the last concert of PCD’s nine-month world
Doll Domination tour.
Writing on her Twitter micro-blogging page, Ashley's bandmate Kimberly Wyatt said she was optimistic about the future. She wrote: “Im filled with love, understanding, and excitement for life. I can't wait to see whats around the corner. To be inspired.....is everything.”
We wouldn’t be surprised if they were just waiting until the tour is officially over to release a statement. We still hope it’s not true!
UPDATE: Turns out Ashely's comment was just taken out of context. Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin took to her twitter page to clear up the rumors.
"The Pussycat Dolls r NOT breaking up…. & IF they ever were, u would hear it from ME 1st, NOT GOSSIP…Album #3 on the way!"
