New Moon soundtrack has just taken the top spot on the Billboard 200. But are we really that surprised?? The album sold 153,000 copies in its first full week in stores. And after nine days of being out, it has sold 268,000.

The New Moon soundtrack has beat out this week’s biggest new release, Tim McGraw’s Southern Voice. He’s at No. 2 after selling 137,000 records in week 1. Down at No. 10, Joss Stone’s Colour Me Free sold 27,000.
