Michael Jackson Sells Out All 50 London Shows

Michael Jackson has done what no artist could probably do right now. Even in this time of a worldwide recession, he’s managed to sell out 50 concerts in London. And he was able to do so within minutes.

Earlier this week, Michael announced that he’d be adding more shows to his tour, after thousands of fans were left without tickets because they sold out so fast. The rest of the tickets went on sale this morning, and were snatched up in the blink of an eye.

Michael is reportedly thrilled by the response, and says on his website, “It is now I see and feel that calling once again, to be part of a music that will not just connect, but make all feel one, one in joy, one in pain, one in love, one in service, and in consciousness.”

If you still didn’t get tickets, it looks like you weren’t quite quick enough! But if you’re a huge fan, we’re sure people will be selling them at jacked-up prices! This is, in fact, what he’s calling “his final curtain call.”

The series of gigs kicks off July 9, runs through September and then, following a three-month break, picks up again in January. The residency wraps up Feb. 24, 2010.
