Last nights Grammy awards was full of great collaborations, including the show put on by the “Rap pack.” The kings of Hip hop,
Kanye West,
Jay Z, Lil Wayne and
T.I. took the stage with
M.I.A. and performed their Grammy Award Winning song “Swagga Like Us.”
If you all remember this is the remix of M.I.A.’s sublime hit “Paper Planes,” which became a hit six months after its release, largely thanks to the stoner flick “Pineapple Express.”
Many were wondering if the heavily pregnant singer was actually going to make it on stage as she was scheduled to go into labor on the actual day of the Grammy’s.
There were reports that right before her performance M.I.A. had contractions and after her performance she was rushed to the hospital.
And she wasn't trying to hide her pregnancy either! She sported a black and white polka dot see through dress emphasizing the baby bump.
In regards to the baby, M.I.A. told MTV he/ she was poised to be a hip-hop star. "He's getting ready for Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. So far, so good," she said on the Grammy red carpet.
"I just don't know what labor is. It's my first baby. So I'm not walking around going, 'Maybe this is it.' The baby is just moving around, getting his swagga on."
