Mary J. Blige and Tyler Perry are going to be honored by BET for their accomplishments in their careers. The network is celebrating their 2nd annual award show on February 9th, and Blige and Perry are just two of the people being honored.
Also on the list of honorees are Magic Johnson, dancer Judith Jamseson, style guru B. Smith and South Carolina Congressman James E. Clyburn.
The show will be
part of BET's festivities for the inauguration of
President-elect Barack Obama.
BET is putting on its first inaugural ball that will air Jan. 20. The BET awards will tape right before the inauguration, even though they won't air till February. So they'll be a real treat to watch since everyone will be buzzing about Obama getting sworn in! Be sure to tune in!
