Mariah Carey y has just released her first single off her new album,
Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
It’s called Obsessed. It’s got a really good beat, and it’s very different from the last we heard from Mimi on E=MC2.
Obsessed was produced by The-Dream and Tricky Stewart, who also produced the majority of album. Mariah Twittered about the song saying, “Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever. I love the whole album. I’m completely immersed in it. I can’t wait for you to hear it.”
What’s interesting about this track is that people are speculating it’s a diss to Eminem. Em sang about Mariah in his song Bagpipes, saying, “Mariah, what ever happened to us, why did we have to break up… Nick Cannon better back the fuck up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”
In Obsessed, Mariah sings, “You’re delusional, boy, you’re losing your mind. It must be weed, it must be the E… Why are you so obsessed with me? Lying that you’re sexing me.”
